Veya is a private menopause and HRT journal. We do not collect, share, or sell your health data. Everything you log stays on your iPhone — unless you choose to export it.
There are no accounts, no social feed, no advertising, and no sale of personal data. That is the entire premise of the app. The long version below explains the technical details.
When you use Veya, the following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone in a SwiftData database inside the app's sandbox:
This data is not transmitted to any server we operate. We do not operate a server. We do not have a database of users.
If you subscribe to Veya Pro:
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and message you choose to send. We use that information only to reply to your support request. Please avoid including sensitive health details in support emails unless you are comfortable sharing them by email.
If you create a treatment reminder, Veya schedules a local notification via Apple's UserNotifications framework. These notifications:
You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Veya.
Veya does not use analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or product telemetry in the production build. There is no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, Sentry, or comparable tracking SDK in the app.
The "Appointment Report" PDF export feature renders a report on your device and presents the standard iOS share sheet. CSV export works the same way. You choose the destination — Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, Notes, or anywhere else. Veya does not see what you do with exported files once you share them.
Veya is intended for adults — specifically people navigating perimenopause and menopause, typically aged 40 to 60. Veya is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children on any server.
Veya is a personal journal that helps you record self-reported symptoms and treatments and prepare a report for your healthcare professional. Veya is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or replace medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, including any change in hormone replacement therapy.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and present an in-app notice the next time you launch Veya.
